WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Our Workforce Development and Community Education team provides workforce development and undertakes capacity building projects across the sector with the aim of building a thriving and sustainable workforce. We also undertake a range of prevention and community activities to support the wider community to prevent and respond to sexual violence.

The Workforce Development Standing Committee provides advice to SASVic and supports the ongoing implementation and development of education and training projects, including but not limited to the workforce development program.

If you are interested in learning more about the Workforce Development Standing Committee, please contact training@sasvic.org.au

This network meets once a month and is open to staff in the specialist sexual assault sector working with children engaging in harmful sexual behaviour.

Please email secretariat@sasvic.org.au to receive the calendar invite.

ADVOCACY, EVIDENCE AND IMPACT

SASVic can support you by amplifying the issues you face in your work, advocating for systems change and building the evidence base on sexual violence. We’re also here to support the important research and evaluation projects you may be undertaking.

SASVic often undertakes consultation with members. You can inform this work through our standing committee or look out for invitations in the fortnightly member update.

Visit our Ending Sexual Violence Hub to find out about our most recent campaigns and submissions.

You can also tell us about a trend that you're seeing in your work or a challenge you're consistently coming up against. You can email our Advocacy, Evidence and Impact Manager Amy Webster at amy.webster@sasvic.org.au to let us know what you're seeing.

PRESC has been formed to:

  • facilitate member input into SASVic submissions, research projects and other strategic policy and evaluation priorities
  • provide mutual support and information sharing between members regarding policy, research and evaluation activities
  • inform and contribute to relevant campaigns, communications, and advocacy.

If you're interested in joining, please email amy.webster@sasvic.org.auu for more information and to express your interest.

Justice, Rights and Equity

At SASVic, we work to uphold victim survivor rights. We do this through advocating for justice reform and accessible therapeutic support.

Organisational Development and Engagement

We’re here to support the administrative and operational functions in the organisations across the sector, from recruitment support to procedural and policy development.

This standing committee is an information sharing space, providing mutual support on organisational issues regarding policies, procedures, contracts, industrial issues and employment law. Accordingly, members of the committee are operations managers, business development managers, or managers who undertake this work as part of their role within their organisation.

If you would like to express interest in joining, please email virginia.desantis@sasvic.org.au.
